SPECIAL NOTICE: CHANGE OF VENUE FOR OLYMPICS
  • NSARC has been pre-empted by EOC during the full month of February and first 3 weeks of March (Winter Olympics).
  • During this period, Club meetings will be held at the District of North Vancouver Fire Services Training Centre, 900 St. Denis Avenue, North Vancouver, BC. 
  • Regular meetings: Feb. 4 and 18, March 4 and 18.
  • HF Group meetings: Feb 25. (The March 25 meeting will be held in the NSEMO meeting room).

OUR OBJECTIVES
as stated in the NSARC Constitution (PDF)
  • To encourage amateur radio operators to participate fully in the advancement, practice and promotion of amateur radio, within the communities of the North Shore.

  • To provide the North Shore Emergency Management Office, or its successor, with Amateur Radio communications, in times of emergencies.

  • To attract newcomers to amateur radio and provide training so as to license them as Amateur Radio operators, in accordance with federal regulations.

  • To develop, install and maintain radio equipment and infrastructure so as to provide radio communication networks in support of emergency communications.

  • To provide training to Amateur Radio licensees in the operation of radio equipment, infrastructure and emergency communications procedures.

  • To provide physical and intellectual resources to advance the overall technical and operational skills of Amateur Radio operators.

  • To participate in community events by providing radio communications via amateur radio.

  • Held 7:30pm, 1st and 3rd Thursday of each month at the North Shore Emergency Management Office meeting room, 147 East 14th St., North Vancouver, B.C.

  • UHF: VE7NSR - 443.200 MHz (+5 MHz) - linked to VHF.
